How the conversion works
BudgetShape first converts the original amount into an annual equivalent: weekly × 52, fortnightly × 26, or monthly × 12. It then divides that annual amount by the number of periods in the view you want.
For example, $100 per month is $1,200 per year. That is about $23.08 per week or $46.15 per fortnight — not $25 and $50.
Why this matters in a budget
Small shortcuts add up when rent, subscriptions, utilities and income all use different rhythms. Normalising from an annual base keeps the same underlying money consistent when you switch views.
