Simple questions. Straight answers.
The important things to know before you start using BudgetShape.
What makes BudgetShape different?
BudgetShape is centred on recurring money that happens at different real-world frequencies. Enter weekly, fortnightly or monthly amounts and switch the whole budget into the view you want.
Why not just treat a month as four weeks?
Because a year has 52 weeks but only 12 months. BudgetShape annualises the original frequency first, then converts the result into the selected view so the totals stay consistent.
Do I need to connect a bank account?
No. BudgetShape works without bank access. You enter the recurring amounts you want to plan around.
Is BudgetShape financial advice?
No. BudgetShape provides budgeting tools and calculations based on information you enter. It does not recommend financial products or provide personal financial, tax, credit or investment advice.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The solo budgeting experience is free. Public paid billing for Pro is not yet open.
What does Pro add?
Pro adds multiple budgets and budget sharing/invitations. Future paid capabilities may be added later, but the core solo budgeting experience is intended to remain genuinely useful.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The web app is responsive and works in modern mobile browsers. Native mobile applications are planned separately.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. See the Account & Data Deletion page for the current process and what happens to shared budgets.
Where is BudgetShape launching first?
Australia. The product and public marketing are being tested with Australian users first before broader international expansion.
